Read our review about this hair tool from a professional!

Picture this... you just get out of the shower, you pick up your favorite hair products, brush your hair smooth, and begin to start your blow dry. You have the confidence and skills to create a seamless, salon quality blow dry at home, and you’re about to look SEXY for your night out.

You’re probably thinking, “I wish it was that easy!”. Well… would your life change if I told you it could be?

The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer has been a client favorite of the year. I am here to share with you my thoughts on this tool. While it is been an absolute game changer for at home blow drys, it is important to know the good and the bad of the tool. First of all, let me explain what in the world this Revlon Dryer really is. It is a blow dry brush that is designed to deliver volume and shine in one single step. It Is made to take the place of a traditional brush and blow dryer. Okay okay.. now let's get to the good and the bad.

Let's start with the GOOD!

My favorite part of the Dryer is that it is lightweight, user friendly, and extremely easy to travel with. When using the Dryer, I find that it makes my hair extremely shiny and smooth and takes away the need of a flat iron or curling iron to take away the frizz. It glides through my hair seamlessly, taking away the need for me to constantly brush it and make it smooth during the blow dry. I mean, this styling tool just sounds too good to be true, right?

Now… the bad…

Alright, if I am being honest with you there is seriously nothing “bad” with this tool. It really does what it is designed to do and I absolutely love it. With that being said, there are some things I would be mindful when using the Dryer.

1) This thing gets HOT: it is important to use a heat protectant before starting your blow dry! We do NOT want any heat damage! My favorite is Kevin Murphy’s Heated Defense, which you can find at Mane Techniques.

2) To eliminate excess heat on your hair, I like to go in with a regular blow dryer and “rough dry” the hair until it is about 50-75% dry. This helps eliminate too much heat on the hair.

This product is absolutely wonderful. If used correctly it will help you achieve a salon quality blow dry at home and maintain healthy and strong hair! This is my professional opinion on the dryer and volumizer. For more tips and tricks on how to style your hair, explore our blog posts. Ready to make a consultation?
